A breezy mix of sun, cloud and comfortable 10C temperature made for a refreshing Orchard Heights Community Fall Colours Ride on Halloween Sunday afternoon, October 31, 2021. The route wound along slow-traffic residential streets to the Waterfront Trail in Port Credit, through JC Saddington Park with turn-around at the Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens and along the Waterfront Trail back to Orchard Heights. This Orchard Heights Community Fall Colours Ride  was recorded Sunday afternoon on October 24, 2021 along slow-traffic residential streets, the Waterfront Trail and up the Etobicoke Creek Trail. Return trip: ~15kms With the Orchard Heights Park Spillway Crossing water level deemed marginally unsafe due to recent rains and the Dixie Road RR underpass currently under construction reducing cyclist "safe" options to the west sidewalk through the work zone, this route is a "long-way-around" detour for Orchard Heights residents to access Marie Curtis Park and the Waterfront and Etobicoke Creek Trails. The route provides an opportunity to enjoy refreshing bike rides, runs and walks through tall White Pines and Hemlocks along the Etobicoke Creek Trail and Lake Ontario’s scenic Waterfront Trail with options for people of all ages and walks of life to explore and enjoy Orchard Heights Park, Lakeshore Park, Marie Curtis Park and Etobicoke Valley Park playgrounds and sport fiel
