Suburbs that don't Suck

Image
Car-dependent suburbs suck. But that doesn't mean that all suburbs suck. It is possible to build suburbs that don't suck, and the US and Canada used to design great suburbs all the time. Image
Intro by Shifter:   "If your city is like mine, there have been many initiatives over the years to improve its bike-friendliness, from painted bike lanes to pathways to separated bike lanes. In case you missed this Orchard Heights Community Fall Colours Ride, the video captures the essence of a beautiful time of year to enjoy walking, running, biking and rolling along the scenic trails virtually at the doorstep of every Orchard Heights resident. Starting from Orchard Heights, the route led down Dixie Road to Marie Curtis Park and followed the Waterfront Trail eastbound to Col. Samuel Smith Park with its expansive views from the man-made peninsula jutting out into Lake Ontario . The return leg included a side spur up the Etobicoke Creek Trail through tall Pines, Maples and
