HELLO Mayor Crombie and Mississauga Councillors ???


What's with the inordinate delays implementing Mississauga's 2010 Cycling Master Plan finally approved in 2018 which promised "Connected, Convenient, Comfortable and Safe" infrastructure for people riding bikes ??? ... 🤔🧐😳🙄

Will Mississauga's recent October 2021 Pedestrian Master Plan experience the same decade (and counting) of delays?

How come subdivisions, townhouses, condos, shopping centers, office towers, industrial parks, etc. along with roads, bridges and highways for cars and trucks are always completed in the fastest possible time while "Connected, Convenient, Comfortable and Safe" active transportation infrastructure for people of all ages and walks of life on foot, bikes, kick rollers, skate boards, rollerblades, in wheelchairs, etc. remains an afterthought relegated to the back burner?

Meanwhile, in place of serious, comprehensive and urgent on-the-ground progress over the years, Mississauga continues to expend plenty of time, money and human resources producing virtue-signaling surveys, proposals, studies, reports and glossy publicity materials recycled every few years, more or less coinciding with municipal elections ... 🤔🧐😳🙄

• Raise awareness about road safety to help road users be safe when using a Mississauga roadway

Ongoing actions by  Orchard Heights NIMBYs  to block the 2018 approved and 2019 scheduled Orchard Heights Park Foot/Bike Bridge from being built include censoring related information posted to the OHHA Facebook Group pages and vandalizing information flyers posted in local public places like Ron Searle Park and Orchard Heights Park. DEAD END - NO EXIT Orchard Heights Park DEAD END - NO EXIT - OH PARK Bridge Flyer Vandalized by ??? LAWN RAGE - a Case for Change

In 1996, the Ontario Court of Justice ruled municipal Tall Grass and Weeds By-Laws to be void, invalid, unenforceable and in contravention of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which guarantees Freedom of Expression [Ref. Bell v. Toronto (City)]. Yet, the City of Mississauga Council "deems tall grass and weeds to be a public nuisance" and continues to enforce its Nuisance Weeds and Tall Grass Control By-Law 125-2017 on homeowner private property based solely on "Anonymous Neighbour Complaints". As Canada's 29th "Bee City”, Mississauga’s stated commitment “to support pollinators and their habitats” and advising homeowners that, "By planting pollinator friendly plants in your garden you can help enhance habitat for insects that pollinate wildflowers and food crops", is self-contradictory virtue signaling when the City's Enforcement Division cites homeowners under By-Law 125-2017 for the wildlife-friendly tall grass and weeds growing on
